Welcome to Disney! Customer Engagement (CE) is part of the Marketing Center of Excellence within Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP). We connect consumers to the place where dreams come true through the development of integrated, audience-focused, data-driven communication plans across offline, digital and direct relationship channels.
The Customer Engagement Budget Management team is seeking a crucial member to support the DPEP businesses. As a Customer Engagement Budget Manager I, you will serve as a vital liaison between the Global Marketing teams and various Finance teams ensuring the accurate, effective and efficient administration of a variety of budgetary tasks.
This team provides strategic, financial, and analytical leadership through strong partnerships and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished professional with shown financial experience, the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, who can multi-task, challenge assumptions and make recommendations to the team, partners and senior leaders.
This role will be responsible for facilitating invoice payments; tracking and analyzing payment data in various platforms; assisting with the handling of purchase orders and the processing of postage checks for executive approval and disbursement. Other responsibilities will include assisting in the monthly, quarterly, and annual finance submissions; aiding in the development of new tracking and reporting templates; helping to prepare tools and processes for future planning and analysis. Additionally, you will help promote the development and sustainment of team policy, procedure and provide assistance in any vital budget documentation, tracking and reporting.
You Will:
- Process invoices for payment and work with multiple partners to facilitate on-time remittance
- Use CE workflow system to lead and prioritize payment activities based on vitality and importance
- Research issues with past invoices and respond to internal financial audits
- Work directly and perform necessary coordination efforts with CE internal and external partners
- Work with team members and partners to improve existing processes and develop new processes to further improve overall efficiencies
- Partner with Customer Engagement team members to respond to various budget requests
- Create strong partnerships with many customers across multiple Disney businesses and organizations
- Present and communicate effectively to all levels of leadership, including senior executives
- Monitor the CE Budget team mailbox and run daily communications, inquiries, and updates
- Request, monitor, and maintain purchase orders and insertion orders required to pay vendor invoices
- Support the development of annual long-term and operating plans (LTP & AOP)
You will have:
- 3+ years' work experience with a minimum of 2 years of experience with growing responsibility in Finance/Accounting or Business Development
- Demonstrated analytical ability and strong computer/systems skills. Confirmed experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) required
- Proficient experience in large data sets and Excel formulas
- Practical experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience communicating with team members at all levels, including senior management
- Demonstrated ability to drive results through a proactive approach to problem solving, strong detail orientation, and great partnership skills
- Experience working in a collaborative environment with internal partners, 3rd party vendors, and agencies
- Proven track record, working with a sense of urgency and curiosity in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exposure to other tools, such as Smartsheets and Workfront
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a business subject area
