We are building a team of visionary leaders to drive this transformation and are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our talented development team.

As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of scalable, reliable software platforms. If you have a passion for leading teams, optimizing processes, and delivering impactful results, this role is for you!

This role will report to the Director of Engineering.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the design and development of platform software architecture and infrastructure to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Oversee the technical development of high-volume, transactional software platform infrastructure with extendable architecture that integrates seamlessly with partner platforms.

• Collaborate with content teams, such as live operations producers, to modify and optimize real-time functionality of the platform.

• Review and approve software architecture and code developed by the team, ensuring adherence to technical standards and best practices.

• Set technical direction for platform software development, driving innovation and alignment with organizational goals.

• Recommend and determine time, budget, and functionality trade-offs to meet project objectives effectively.

• Allocate available resources to meet operating objectives and manage outcomes that impact the assigned section of work.

• Ensure the ongoing training, mentorship, and development of direct reports, fostering a high-performing team culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Leadership Experience: A proven track record of managing engineering teams, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.

• Technical Mastery: Expertise in designing and managing platform software architecture and infrastructure, with a focus on scalability and reliability.

• Operational Excellence: Strong skills in resource allocation, budget management, and delivering complex, high-impact projects on time and within scope.

• Collaboration and Communication: Exceptional ability to interact with cross-functional teams, direct reports, and external stakeholders to share information and enhance processes.

• Strategic Problem-Solving: A deep understanding of technical and operational challenges, with the ability to develop effective and impactful solutions.

• Professional Expertise: At least 7 years of relevant industry experience, with a focus on platform software development, and 3 or more years of management experience.

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
