The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) seeks a Senior Manager, Organizational Development to join the Organizational Development Center of Excellence (OD COE) with a focus on Corporate and Enterprise clients. This team is a highly visible group within Enterprise HR that plays an integral part in supporting key business initiatives across Disney. The ideal candidate will be an advisor to HR and business leaders with a bias towards action and impact. The candidate must be comfortable being dropped into ambiguous situations and able to quickly support the team in driving change, transformation and business results. The role is based in Burbank, CA and reports to the Director, Organizational Development. This role will manage one or more OD professionals.
As a Senior Manager, Organizational Development, you will partner closely with other HR team members to consult with business leaders to identify, define, and deliver against multiple strategic projects that drive business performance across divisions, functions, and/or geographies. You will assist in the consultation, facilitation, and assessment of the business to improve ways of working. This autonomous role will also work across boundaries, functions, and geographies to enhance the effectiveness of the broader organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner closely with business leaders, OD leaders and HR Business Partners to assess needs, develop recommendations, and manage projects to improve the performance of leaders, teams and organizations
Support TWDC HR priorities and deliver OD expertise to a variety of projects, including strategy development, organization assessment, organization design, change and transition management, and culture transformation across a diverse set of clients
Continually develop and apply broad organizational knowledge to address business and organizational challenges by recognizing patterns through an enterprise and systems thinking mindset
Leverage project management and leadership skills to facilitate complex work and maintain stakeholder alignment; develop project schedules, plans and timelines
Continually invest in self-development and the evolution of the OD discipline by remaining current with new developments, technologies, industry trends and innovations
Build trust and collaborate with teams in a global and virtual environment; Partner effectively with HR Business Partners and OD leaders across the Company to transfer knowledge and skills
Effectively prioritize time and ensure speed in delivering high-impact work
Role Expectations:
8 or more years of Organization Development, Change Management, Human Capital consulting or related experience, ideally with a global company
Considered an advanced OD practitioner and can manage large scale projects across business units and support enterprise-wide projects across the company
Business Knowledge and Impact:
Understands business context in homeroom segment and assesses situations quickly to design and implement the activities required to transform the business
Provides OD support, guidance and recommendations to leaders and teams founded in collaborative problem solving and improve team performance.
Drives shared responsibilities and sustainable partnerships with segment teams and HR partners
Displays versatility to work across segments
Complexity, Autonomy and Influence:
Manages projects independently while acquiring needed resources and developing capabilities in others to deliver project requirements
Creates and implements plans to ensure successful change execution
Influences stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit

Brings objectivity (non-bias)
Drives clarity, brings structure to ambiguity, and simplifies complexity
Develops organizational alignments and cultural change activities
Models OD competencies for direct reports and partners and ensures quality of their work
Contracts on complications and issues while shaping resolutions, corrective actions, documents lessons learned, collects and disseminates relevant information
Leverages data and insights from multiple sources to diagnose challenges and contributing factors, and to measure the effectiveness of client solutions
Domain Expertise:
Demonstrates high expertise in strategy development, organization design and change management
Engaged in building the OD practice
Identifies new areas of capability improvement within the OD field, which enhance skills, technologies and processes
Enterprise Mindset:
Produces Business Unit changes that also support TWDC goals and business strategies
Understands the entire system and supports continuous improvement across TWDC
Has in-depth knowledge of industry-wide business modeling techniques and applies appropriately
Proactively and intentionally navigates TWDC, building relationships to connect dots and drive the work
Enables continual improvements to change management methodology, tools and training necessary to enhance the maturity across TWDC
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in the field of Organization Development, Organizational Behaviors, Human Resources Management, or Business-related fields.
Preferred Education
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in the field of Organizational Development, Organizational Behaviors, Human Resources Management, or Business-related fields.
The hiring range for this position in California is $165,700.00 - $202,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
