Media Intern, Balkans

About the Role & Team

We are looking to hire an intern for a fixed period of 12 months to support our Media Networks Serbia team in the Balkans with daily business practices, data management and activities related to business operations. This is an opportunity to support the team in both daily processes and long-term projects while gaining insight and understanding of the operation of overall TV industry in the region, as well as sales and marketing in Pay TV industry. 

We offer a 12-month full-time paid internship under an employment contract. We need you to be able to work onsite at our Belgrade office 4 days a week. 

What You Will Do

General: 

• Gain an understanding of the Balkans Pay TV markets and contribute insights for strategy development. 

• Gain knowledge about TV media landscape in Serbia. Monitor competitors and provide information and insights from the market. 

• Gain knowledge about the company's channels performance, ratings, and upcoming projects. 

Channel Distribution:  

• Learn to maintain internal reporting systems and assist in invoicing and payment processes. 

• Assist in negotiating deals with clients under the guidance of senior team members. 

• Keep informed about competitors' activities in the market and share insights with the team. 

• Assist in certifying subscriber reports and ensuring alignment of reporting parameters. 

• Assist with administrative tasks, as well as internal and external reporting activities. 

Ad Sales:  

•  Coordinate on a daily basis with agencies and clients about ordered campaigns, received TVCs and/or amendments, changes, sequencing. 

• Administration of order booking in Mydas system. 

• Monitor campaigns on a daily basis - performance of each campaign according to ordered, predicted, booked and delivered as TRPs, budgets of spots, etc. 

• Support the Sales Executives in preparing presentations, offers, etc. 

• Prepare post-campaign evaluation reports; prepare media plans to support front office. 

  Marketing:  

•  Participate in the planning and executing of marketing activities in line with the policy of global and local market-specific requirements. 

• Understand the attitudes and behaviors of channels’ key audiences to identify best-suited touchpoints. 

• Gather and analyze marketing data to evaluate returns and maximize profitability of marketing investments. 

• Maintain direct relationships with chosen agencies and vendors, daily communication, and quality control. 

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Power Point will be a benefit. 

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills. 

• Strong attention to detail. 

• Clearly demonstrable interest in media and research. 

• Knowledge of TV/entertainment market will be considered a benefit. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Serbian and English.  

• Proactive, flexible and positive approach to tasks. 

• Good work organization and sense of responsibility. 

• Enthusiasm to factual and scripted content. 

• Ability to learn new software tools quickly and efficiently.
