About the Role & Team

At Disney Entertainment & ESPN Content Platforms & Operations, we are the driving force behind how Disney content is delivered to audiences worldwide. Our Content & Localisation Management (CLM) team plays a critical role in bringing our stories to global audiences, overseeing the localisation and delivery of content across ABC, FX, Natgeo, Branded and Disney+ platforms. From coordinating dubbed and subtitled versions of our latest series to ensuring the creation of technically perfect master files, we work at the intersection of creativity, logistics, and technology.

About the Team

You’ll join a high-performing, detail-oriented team dedicated to the seamless delivery of Disney content worldwide. The CLM team operates at the core of Disney’s global distribution operations, collaborating closely with production, mastering, and digital distribution to ensure high-quality localised experiences for every market.

What You Will Do

As a Supervisor, Library & Research, you will support the ongoing management of Disney’s extensive physical and digital content archives across the EMEA region. Working closely with the Content Manager and broader operations teams, you will oversee the research, retrieval, and inventory tracking of legacy and current media assets. This role plays a critical part in enabling efficient localisation workflows, supporting acquisitions, and maintaining the integrity of The Walt Disney Company’s media library.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Content Manager in delivering Disney Channel/Disney Junior animated acquisitions and the localisation of third-party live-action content for FX linear channels.
• Act as the first point of contact for the Media Asset Management (MAM) Library team’s day-to-day operational needs.
• Serve as the main liaison with Iron Mountain (IMES) to coordinate storage access, retrievals, and deliveries.
• Conduct research with local broadcasters across EMEA to identify and retrieve relevant localised assets for internal use and Disney+ deployment.
• Assist in consolidating physical media from multiple UK-based locations into a centralised storage system.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date asset tracking within the Wonderland inventory management system.
• Lead decision-making on the digitisation or destruction of approximately 320,000 physical assets based on comprehensive research.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate digital and physical asset issues while offering proactive solutions.
• Provide operational cover for the Content Manager as required.
• Train and support new team members and contribute to teamwide process improvements and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications & Skills

• Content Operations Experience: Strong background in asset management, media archiving, or content operations within a broadcast or media environment.
• Research & Analysis: Skilled in conducting media-related research and assessing archival asset value.
• Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with asset management databases (e.g., Wonderland or equivalent).
• Detail-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of information accurately and methodically.
• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage external relationships.
• Problem Solving: Capable of identifying operational bottlenecks and supporting resolution strategies.
Preferred Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with warehousing and digital systems specific to media asset storage.
• Understanding of historical and current film, sound, and video formats.
• Experience working with localised content and multilingual asset libraries.
Additional Information

• Reports directly to the Content Manager, Acquisitions.
• This role may involve occasional collaboration across time zones and participation in wider departmental initiatives.
• Opportunities exist to contribute to digitisation strategy, legacy content planning, and process improvements.
• Training and development opportunities available to support long-term career progression within Disney.
