Comms & CSR Supervisor, Balkans (FTC, Maternity cover)

The role of the Comms & CSR Supervisor in Bulgaria and the Balkans is to work with the CEE Comms team to deliver effective communication (external and internal) as well as execute all social responsibility and charity campaigns and activities in the market. 

The Supervisor will support and, where/when necessary, conduct external communication and lead internal communications to the Balkan team in close cooperation with the CEE internal comms team. 

The role also requires developing and managing CSR and charitable activities in line with EMEA and CEE CSR strategy and in close cooperation with CEE CSR team.

This role is a maternity cover, and it will require you to be onsite 4 days a week.

Areas of Responsibility

Communications (external and internal)

• Deliver the best in class internal communications in Bulgaria and the Balkans. 

• Help devise stories and standalone internal activities.

• Help deliver Town Halls and other internal events.

• Draft external and internal announcements.

• Work with local media on business announcements.

• Deliver corporate clippings reports as well as local PR summaries and reports. 

CSR & Charity  

• Help implement CEE CSR strategy.

• Execute local CSR initiatives and projects across the Balkans.

• Build and maintain outstanding relationships with NGOs and non for profit local organisations that Disney would partner with on different initiatives.

• Prepare all necessary documents and information for vetting Disney’s non for profit partners. 

• Report all CSR and charity initiatives into Disney’s reporting systems such as Hei Hei, Cybergrants etc. 

• Run Disney VoluntEARs programme in Bulgaria and the Balkans. 

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

• PR experience (ideally 2-4 years) preferably entertainment / media industry based. 

• CSR experience (ideally 2-3 years) with a genuine interest in social responsibility and non for profit activities. 

• Good understanding of local media landscape. 

• Good understanding of local NGO and non for profit landscape. 

• Ability to deal with people at all levels inside and outside TWDC. 

• Ability to communicate and work in English (verbal / written).

Skills Required

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bulgarian and English. 

• Ability to work under pressure and be flexible to changing deadlines and timelines.  

• Ability to drive projects from start to finish while managing multiple assignments. 

• Proactive with the ability to seek out opportunities to promote Disney internally.
